J. Jeffrey Riggs
Principal
Mr. Riggs is a founding partner of Mountain West Industrial Properties and is responsible for corporate strategy, equity and debt sponsorship and relations. Mr. Riggs has also been active in the commercial mortgage banking business for 25 years as President of Q10 Essex Financial Group and its predecessor companies since 1985. Mr. Riggs is also a principal in Baron Properties. Baron owns and manages multi-family properties in the Denver, Colorado Springs and Austin, Texas. Currently, Baron's portfolio consists of over 2,900 units with a value exceeding $250 million. Previously, Mr. Riggs was also a founding partner of Metropolitan Homes from 1992 to 1999 where he constructed and sold over 500 homes in the Denver area. Mr. Riggs received his MBA from the University of Connecticut and has held several board positions with profit and non-profit organizations.
Scott J. Fisher
Principal
Mr. Fisher is a founding partner of Mountain West Industrial Properties and is responsible for sourcing, structuring and negotiating acquisitions, equity and debt sponsorships, property operations, and corporate oversight. Mr. Fisher has been active in the commercial mortgage banking business for 24 years, completing in excess of $1 billion in debt and equity transactions. Mr. Fisher is a Principal of Essex Financial Group, a leading mortgage banking firm whose annual transaction volume is approximately $400 million. Essex services in excess of $750 million for 14 institutional lenders. Mr. Fisher serves on the Board of Brokers Benefiting Kids, a commercial real estate industry organization which has raised over $2 million for local charities.
Mary F. Knoll
Chief Financial Officer
In her current role at Mountain West Industrial Properties, Mary is responsible for all financial reporting, accounting, tax, cash management, and financial planning. She has expertise in financial systems, internal controls, planning and analysis, strategic planning, procurement, and staff leadership and management with multiple industry experience including telecommunications, manufacturing, construction, banking, and public accounting. Prior to joining Mountain West Management Mary was Executive Director of Operations Support for Comcast's National Communications Engineering and Operations Group. While with Comcast she also managed the merger integration of Comcast and AT&T Broadband. Prior to AT&T Broadband, she worked at a privately held manufacturing, construction, and distribution company. She also managed the Denver Financial Service Center for the Resolution Trust Corporation and has multiple years experience in public accounting. She is a licensed certified public accountant and a member of the AICPA and Colorado Society of CPAs.
T.J. Tarbell
Director of Acquisitions
Mr. Tarbell is responsible for sourcing, structuring and negotiating acquisitions, debt/equity placement, development & repositioning of existing assets, acquisitions analysis and due diligence. Mr. Tarbell has over 5 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Mountain West, Mr. Tarbell was an analyst at Essex Financial Group, a Denver based mortgage banking company. While at Essex, Mr. Tarbell underwrote and placed over $200,000,000 worth of debt, mezz debt and equity. Prior to working at Essex Financial Group, Mr. Tarbell was in the Corporate and Investment Banking Analyst Program at KeyBank where he worked in the Commercial Real Estate and Commercial Bank lines of business. Mr. Tarbell received his B.A. in Economics from Colorado State University.
Justin D. Sims
Acquisitions & Development Officer
Mr. Sims is responsible for the analysis of all acquisitions and related investment activities for both land development opportunities and existing assets. He conducts detailed market research and oversees necessary due diligence. He also designs and creates investment packages for both debt and equity financing; and follows through in handling the process from initial underwriting through closing. After receiving his B.A. from the University of Michigan, Mr. Sims worked as an in-house business process and information-flow consultant for a NYSE-listed company in New York City. He then earned his M.B.A. from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado with a concentration in Real Estate before joining Mountain West.
Matthew C. Zarlengo
Portfolio Director
Mr. Zarlengo directs portfolio activities for Mountain West Management and is responsible for asset management, investor reporting, debt placement, and asset disposition. Prior to joining Mountain West, Mr. Zarlengo was a senior financial analyst in the redevelopment group at Apartment Investment Management Company (AIMCO). While at Aimco Mr. Zarlengo provided in depth project and asset valuation analysis as well as detailed financial modeling. Mr. Zarlengo has held real estate positions with other companies including Keller Williams and Wells Fargo Bank. Mr. Zarlengo holds a Bachelors of Science in Finance and Real Estate from Colorado State University, and a Masters of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management from the Burn's School in the Daniel's College of Business at the University of Denver. Mr. Zarlengo also holds an active Colorado Real Estate Brokers License.
Pamela A. Nilemo
Senior Asset Manager
Mrs. Nilemo is responsible for property operations of Mountain West Management's Colorado and Arizona portfolios including, property level budgeting, lease/rent negotiations, capital expenditures and tenant/vendor relations. Mrs. Nilemo has 7 years experience with Mountain West and was previously with Q10 Essex Financial Group, a leading Colorado mortgage banking firm.
Abby Gearke
Asset Manager/Financial Analyst
Ms. Gearke is responsible for property operations for Mountain West's assets in the Texas portfolio. She is responsible for lease negotiations, financial analytics and reporting to equity partners. Prior to working for Mountain West she worked as a servicing intern for Essex Financial Group. Ms. Gearke prepared operating statements and financial analysis on over 250 commercial property loans. She also worked for C.R. Engle and Associates during tax season to assist with the preparation of individuals' tax returns. Ms. Gearke has her degree in accounting/real estate from the Daniel's College of Business at the University of Denver. During her time at the University of Denver Abby was active in an international non-profit organization, and is currently in charge of event planning, and fundraising events for the organization.
Gregory S. Hector
Director of Development
Mr. Hector manages all construction development operations inclusive of newly acquired property for new ground-up construction, renovation of new acquisitions with existing facilities, improvements and renovations of current portfolio property and tenant improvement renovations within new and existing portfolio locations. Prior to joining Mountain West Industrial Properties in 2006, Mr. Hector owned and operated LightHouse Consultants, LLC for 3 years, acting as an "Owners Representative" for commercial and industrial project management. From 1990 until 2003, Mr. Hector was President of Hector / Johnston Construction Company, Inc., specializing in Design/Build negotiated commercial and industrial projects. Projects averaged $2.M to $5.M, but included a 5 year multi-phase $50.M pharmaceutical manufacturing plan expansion/renovation. Project type's included high-tech industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, office, warehouse, retail, restaurant, schools and churches. Mr. Hector has 28 years of commercial / industrial construction experience. Mr. Hector currently serves on the Board of Directors with a non-profit organization.
Rachel Bogel
Project Manager
Mrs. Bogel is responsible for managing and administering the construction and delivery of multiple new construction, renovation and restoration projects. Mrs. Bogel a graduate of Skidmore College has an MBA and Masters Degree in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver. She has worked as a construction project manager and holds a Colorado Residential Construction Supervisor Class C license. She has worked primarily in residential construction ranging from million dollar single family homes to an assortment of multi-family dwellings. She also has a Colorado Real Estate Employing Broker license.
Donna McGee
Project Coordinator
Ms. McGee is responsible for project coordination and administration for the development team. These tasks include coordination of utilities, processing invoices, closeout of projects, tracking and processing of building permits and various other items over a multiple state area. She has 20 years experience in various aspects of real estate and construction development, the last 6 years of which were in contract administration for an international, commercial retail developer The Mills Corporation. Her duties included Contract Administration and managing their Owner Controlled Insurance Program all over the North American Region. Ms. McGee has an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies.
